Health Information Technology AAS

Health information technicians (also known as medical record technicians) possess the technical knowledge and skills necessary to maintain components of medical record/health information systems consistent with the medical, administrative, ethical, legal, accrediting and regulatory requirements of the health-care delivery system. Graduates are eligible to apply to write the accreditation examination administered by the American Health Information Management Association to become Registered Health Information Technicians (RHIT).
